During her three year period singing with the D'Oyly Carte
opera company Gill toured the UK, Italy, Canada and the USA.Among other places she performed at the Royal Festival Hall and Sadler's Wells Theatre in London, the Kennedy Center in Washington, Arie Crown Chicago, the Uris Theater off Broadway, Griffith Park in Los Angeles and the National Arts Center in Ottowa.
It was at this time that she met and married the company's Chorus Master and Conductor, Glyn Hale.
